BabyDam Bath Reducer - for Baby

49.90

The bathtub reducer has been designed as a modern alternative to the baby bathtub. It creates a small space in the family bath perfectly adjusted to the baby's size and needs. As it can be placed anywhere in the bathtub, the bathing area grows as the child grows. Another advantage: unlike a bulky baby bath, the barrier is easy to store.

It's suitable for babies and toddlers and, unlike many baby products, will last and be used for years to come!

The BabyDam fits all bathtubs with STRAIGHT WALLS (max. width 75cm measured above the bathtub). BabyDam width: 63 cm.

  1. Moisten the suction cups. ATTENTION: To avoid overfilling the bathtub, the water level overflow must always remain open when bathing a newborn or a child sitting in a bath seat. When the baby is sitting in the bath and a fuller bath is desired, close the overflow with the plug supplied. Water must not exceed the maximum height indicated.
  2. Don't worry about bending the BabyDam. The quality of the materials used to manufacture the BabyDam make it SUPER resistant.
  3. Hold BabyDam as shown. With palms up and thumbs forward, hold BabyDam over the bathtub.
  4. Place the BabyDam across the bathtub in the chosen position, bending the sides (bending the sides will ensure that the soft rubber fits snugly over the bathtub and provides a watertight seal). Push BabyDam downwards.
  5. Press the suction cups together to obtain a perfect seal.
  1. Check for watertightness by sliding your finger along the front and back of the rim (the joint should follow the bathtub walls).
  2. Fill the tub to the desired level.

DO NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM LEVEL.

For added safety, BabyDam can be positioned away from the faucets and filled using the shower head.

IMPORTANT:

After your child's bath, empty the bath water BEFORE removing the suction cups.

TO REMOVE THE BABYDAM:

Release the suction cups by lifting the levers one by one. Hold the lever with one hand (do not let go). Detach this side of BabyDam from the bottom of the bathtub by lifting with the other hand. Repeat for the other side. To avoid damaging the suction cup levers, make sure they are released before removing BabyDam.

The BabyDam can be easily cleaned with soap and warm water. NEVER use abrasive cleaners.

WARNING:

BabyDam is not a toy. Keep an eye on your child at all times and never let him out of your sight. Complies with safety requirements.

Will BabyDam fit in my bath?

BabyDam is designed to fit most standard-sized bathtubs, UK/EU, with a non-textured surface.

Can I use BabyDam at either end of the bath?

Yes, BabyDam can be installed anywhere in a standard straight-sided bathtub. You can fill it with a showerhead or jugs of water if you use it at the end of a bathtub that doesn't have a faucet.

Does BabyDam work with L-shaped bathtubs?

Yes, BabyDam works perfectly with L-shaped bathtubs when installed in the narrowest part of the tub. L-shaped tubs can take up a lot of time and money when bathing a baby, due to the large surface area they occupy. That's why BabyDam is ideal for creating a smaller space for the baby.

How do you know how much water to fill the bath?

With a newborn baby, it's important to fill it with water just above the shoulders to keep it warm. Once your child is able to sit up, the tub can be filled to a greater depth by installing one of the supplied plugs in the safety porthole.
There's a clear mark on the BabyDam for the recommended maximum water depth to help you.

Can BabyDam be used with newborn babies?

Yes, the BabyDam can be used with young babies right from the start, without the need to buy a traditional bathtub. It's the only bathtub that grows with your baby, and can be moved to the top of the tub and positioned according to the child's growth.

Up to what age can I use a BabyDam with my child?

The most common users of the BabyDam are children aged 0 to 3, but we have a few customers who use it up to the age of 7. The BabyDam works very effectively with older children, leaving a small dry section to store their bath toys.

The BabyDam bathtub reducer is the only baby bath that grows with your child.
